The HH2300P is a combination pH electrode designed for high-purity and low-conductivity water with conductivity from 0.5 to 100 μS/cm. It is intended for applications where conventional general-purpose pH electrodes may respond slowly or produce unstable signals.

Its HSL ultra-low-impedance glass membrane has a specified resistance below 50 MΩ. The lower electrical resistance supports faster signal stabilization when the electrode is connected to a compatible high-input-impedance pH transmitter with clean, dry, and correctly grounded signal connections.

A ground-glass junction provides an open contact path between the reference electrolyte and sample. Combined with low-viscosity PCG polymer gel and a double-junction reference system, this construction is designed to support ionic contact while adding a second barrier between the process and internal reference element.

The glass body uses a PG13.5 process connection and can be supplied in insertion lengths from 120 to 425 mm. Multiple connector, temperature-sensor, and cable configurations allow integration into compatible flow-through assemblies, immersion holders, and water-treatment systems.

The HH2300P is suitable for controlled high-purity water applications within its stated conductivity range. Low-conductivity pH measurement remains highly sensitive to sample flow, pressure, temperature, static charge, grounding, air exposure, and carbon-dioxide absorption; electrode selection alone cannot eliminate these online measurement effects.

    Key benefits

    • Designed for low-conductivity water: Recommended conductivity range of 0.5–100 μS/cm.
    • HSL ultra-low-impedance membrane: Membrane resistance below 50 MΩ supports responsive signal stabilization.
    • Ground-glass junction: Provides a relatively open ionic contact path with the sample.
    • Double-junction reference: Adds a second separation barrier between the process and internal reference element.
    • Flexible integration: PG13.5 connection fits compatible process holders and flow-through assemblies.
    • Customizable insertion depth: Available in lengths from 120 to 425 mm.
    • Broad transmitter compatibility: Multiple connector and integrated temperature-sensor options are available.

    Configuration options

    • Insertion length: Selectable from 120 to 425 mm.
    • HC general-purpose membrane: Available when the electrode is intended for conventional-conductivity water.
    • Connector configuration: Multiple detachable cable and connector formats are available.
    • Extended cable: Cable lengths up to 60 metres, subject to transmitter and installation compatibility.
    • Integrated temperature sensor: Selectable NTC, Pt100, and Pt1000 options.

    Measurement and installation notes

For low-conductivity measurement, use a stable, low-pressure, closed flow-through system where practical. Keep the sample flow and temperature consistent, avoid trapped air and backpressure, and prevent atmospheric carbon dioxide from altering the sample before measurement.

The signal cable and connector must remain clean and dry. Ground loops, static charge, moisture, or insufficient transmitter input impedance can cause significant measurement instability.

Where contamination of the main process is a concern, install the electrode in a bypass sample line with the measured sample discharged rather than returned to the high-purity system.

Automatic temperature compensation adjusts the electrode’s response slope; it does not necessarily convert the sample to its pH at 25 °C.
