The HH2300 is a combination pH electrode designed for wastewater and process liquids where suspended solids, deposits, dyes, or other contaminants can obstruct conventional porous junctions.

Its ground-glass junction provides a relatively open contact path between the reference electrolyte and process medium. This construction is designed to maintain ionic contact in contaminated samples where narrower ceramic junctions may become blocked more quickly. Actual fouling resistance and cleaning frequency will depend on the type, concentration, and abrasiveness of the solids present.

A double-junction reference system adds another separation barrier between the process and internal reference element, helping slow contaminant migration. PCG polymer-gel electrolyte and reinforced sealing components support use in continuous online installations, subject to chemical compatibility with the process medium.

The HH2300 uses an HC general-purpose glass membrane for measurement across pH 0–14. Its glass body, PG13.5 process connection, multiple insertion lengths, and detachable connector options allow integration into compatible immersion holders, pipelines, retractable assemblies, and flow-through systems.

Typical applications include industrial wastewater, semiconductor effluent, wet gas-scrubbing liquids, mineral-processing water, and dyeing wastewater. For strongly corrosive chemicals, verify the compatibility of the HC membrane, junction, glass body, seals, and holder before selection.

    Key benefits

    • Ground-glass liquid junction: Designed to maintain reference contact in contaminated and particle-containing liquids.
    • Double-junction reference: Adds a second barrier between the sample and internal reference element.
    • Reinforced sealing construction: Supports continuous process installation within the specified temperature and pressure limits.
    • Full-range measurement: HC glass membrane measures from pH 0 to 14.
    • Flexible process integration: PG13.5 connection fits compatible immersion, inline, and retractable holders.
    • Customizable insertion depth: Available in lengths from 120 to 425 mm.
    • Multiple connector options: S8, S8M, S7, VP8, K8S, and K2 configurations are available.

    Configuration options

    • Insertion length: Selectable from 120 to 425 mm.
    • HSL ultra-low-impedance membrane: Available for specific lower-conductivity applications.
    • Connector configuration: Multiple detachable cable and connector formats are available.
    • Extended cable: Cable lengths up to 60 metres, subject to transmitter compatibility.
    • Integrated temperature sensor: Selectable NTC, Pt100, and Pt1000 options.

    Application and installation notes

Install the electrode where the sample remains representative, but avoid placing the glass membrane directly in settled sludge or a high-velocity abrasive stream. Provide convenient access for inspection and cleaning.

In exhaust- or flue-gas treatment, the HH2300 measures the liquid scrubbing solution rather than the gas itself.

For semiconductor wastewater, confirm whether fluoride or hydrofluoric acid is present. An HC general-purpose glass membrane should not automatically be treated as HF-resistant.

The chemical identity of the reinforced rubber seals should be confirmed for solvents, oxidising chemicals, concentrated acids or alkalis, and elevated-temperature service.
