- Ask a Question
The HH1000P is a combination pH electrode developed for clean and relatively low-conductivity water, where conventional general-purpose electrodes may respond slowly or produce less stable signals. Its HL low-impedance glass membrane has a membrane resistance below 100 MΩ, supporting faster signal stabilization when connected to a compatible high-input-impedance pH transmitter.
The electrode uses a long-path reference system with low-viscosity PCG polymer-gel electrolyte and a ring-shaped PTFE junction. This construction is designed to provide a broad liquid-junction area while slowing the movement of process contaminants toward the internal reference element, supporting stable measurement during routine online operation.
A glass-fiber-reinforced ABS body provides mechanical rigidity and general chemical resistance for clean-water applications. The 180 mm housing includes 3/4-inch NPT threads at both ends, allowing the electrode to be integrated into compatible immersion holders, flow-through assemblies, pipelines, and water-treatment equipment. Its IP68-rated construction supports submerged installations when the cable and process connection are installed correctly.
The HH1000P is intended for water with conductivity between 20 and 300 μS/cm, including municipal tap water, surface water, swimming pools, circulating-water systems, secondary water supplies, and general-purpose purified water. It should not automatically be specified for ultrapure water below this conductivity range without application testing.
Key benefits
- Designed for lower-conductivity water: HL glass membrane with resistance below 100 MΩ supports responsive measurement in water from 20 to 300 μS/cm.
- Stable reference construction: Long-path reference system, low-viscosity polymer gel, and ring-shaped PTFE junction support consistent contact with the sample.
- Flexible installation: Dual 3/4-inch NPT threads accommodate compatible immersion and inline mounting arrangements.
- Durable housing: Glass-fiber-reinforced ABS construction provides mechanical rigidity for routine clean-water installations.
- Broad transmitter compatibility: Available with multiple NTC, Pt100, and Pt1000 temperature-sensor options.
- Configurable construction: Optional PPS housing, dual-junction reference, HC general-purpose glass, and extended cable lengths are available.
Configuration options
- PPS housing: For applications requiring greater chemical or thermal resistance than standard ABS-GF.
- Dual-junction reference: Adds a second separation barrier for more challenging water conditions.
- HC glass membrane: Available when a conventional general-purpose pH membrane is preferred.
- Extended cable: Cable lengths up to 60 metres, subject to transmitter compatibility and installation conditions.
- Integrated temperature sensor: Selectable to match the intended controller or transmitter.
Measurement and installation notes
Low-conductivity water is more sensitive to unstable flow, static charge, grounding, pressure changes, air exposure, and carbon-dioxide absorption. For best results, maintain consistent sample conditions and use a compatible high-input-impedance transmitter.
Automatic temperature compensation adjusts the electrode’s temperature-dependent response slope; it does not necessarily convert the sample to the pH it would have at 25 °C.
