- Ask a Question
The HH2000 is a general-purpose combination pH electrode designed for continuous measurement in municipal water, wastewater treatment, agriculture, aquaculture, and water-treatment equipment. Its glass housing and standard PG13.5 connection make it suitable for integration into a wide range of compatible process holders and flow-through assemblies.
A reinforced HC pH-sensitive glass membrane provides full-range measurement from pH 0 to 14. The electrode’s long-path reference system is designed to slow the movement of process contaminants toward the internal reference element, helping maintain reference stability during extended online operation.
The reference system uses PCG polymer-gel electrolyte and a ring-shaped PTFE junction. The ring geometry provides a broad contact area between the reference electrolyte and process medium, supporting a consistent liquid junction in flowing and inline installations.
Standard configurations are rated for operation from 0 to 80 °C and pressures up to 3 bar. A reinforced configuration is available for applications requiring pressures up to 6 bar, subject to the applicable temperature, holder, seal, and installation limits.
With selectable insertion lengths, multiple detachable connector formats, optional temperature sensors, and cable lengths up to 60 metres, the HH2000 can be configured for new installations or replacement projects involving different transmitters and mounting arrangements.
Key benefits
- General-purpose pH measurement: HC glass membrane covers the full 0–14 pH range.
- Stable reference design: Long-path reference construction is designed to reduce the rate of contaminant migration toward the reference element.
- Broad liquid-junction area: Ring-shaped PTFE junction supports consistent contact with flowing samples.
- Flexible process integration: Standard PG13.5 connection works with compatible process holders and flow-through assemblies.
- Customizable insertion depth: Available in lengths from 120 to 425 mm for different tanks, pipes, and holders.
- Multiple connector options: S8, S8M, S7, VP8, K8S, K2, and other connector configurations are available.
- Optional higher-pressure construction: Reinforced versions can be configured for service up to 6 bar.
Configuration options
- Insertion length: Selectable from 120 to 425 mm according to the process holder and required immersion depth.
- Reinforced pressure configuration: Available for applications requiring pressure ratings above the standard 3 bar limit.
- Dual-junction reference: Adds a second separation barrier for more challenging media.
- Connector configuration: Multiple detachable cable and connector arrangements are available.
- Extended cable: Cable lengths up to 60 metres, subject to transmitter and installation compatibility.
- Integrated temperature sensor: Available with multiple NTC, Pt100, and Pt1000 options.
Installation and selection notes
Install the electrode with its glass bulb facing downward or at a suitable downward angle. Do not install the bulb facing upward, and avoid excessive tightening or mechanical loading on the glass body.
For inline measurement, maintain stable flow and pressure while avoiding trapped air, negative pressure, excessive backpressure, and stagnant sample conditions. Confirm that the selected process holder, O-rings, connector, and electrode length are compatible with the process.
The 6 bar reinforced option should not be treated as a universal rating across the entire temperature range. Confirm the applicable pressure-temperature limits before selection.
